This classic flat has been restored to its very foundations, highlighting the original ornamentation that makes it so beautiful. The kitchen, which remained at the end of the hallway, has been moved to the centre of the living areas, and the bathrooms redistributed. The new, modern fittings add transparency to accentuate the flat's beautiful luminosity. The clean-lined layouts give relief to the architecture in a contrast of dark blue and white, softened by the harmony of sky-blues, natural wood and a panoramic landscape. Photos © Sophie Lloyd
